Self-Exclusion and Account Limits at X3000
Last updated: August 2026
All of the controls on this page live inside the X3000 account, not on this site — we describe them, the operator applies them. The path is the same for every setting: log in, open the account menu, choose the responsible gambling section, pick the tool, set the figure or the period, and confirm. The whole sequence takes under a minute, and the confirmation screen is the point at which the setting becomes real.
How to set a deposit limit
A deposit limit caps how much money may enter the account over a day, a week or a month. Choose the period first and the amount second. The limit is attached to the account rather than to a payment method, so it survives a switch from Trustly to Skrill or to a card. Since the minimum deposit at X3000 is 200 kr, a weekly ceiling below that figure blocks the cashier entirely — set it in multiples of 200 kr if you want it to behave predictably. In the account menu the control is labelled set deposit limit, and filling it in takes under a minute.
A loss limit sits next to it in the same menu and works on the outcome instead of the funding: it counts net losses over the chosen period and stops play when the ceiling is reached. Use it if you tend to recycle winnings, because a deposit limit will never notice that behaviour. Both can run at once, and most players who use limits at all end up with that pair.
Why lowering a limit is instant and raising it is not
Lowering a limit, or setting one for the first time, applies immediately — nobody should have to wait in order to spend less. Raising a limit is deliberately slower: the request is held for a cooling off period of 24 hours before it takes effect, so the decision has to survive the mood that produced it. While it is pending the old ceiling still applies, and the request can normally be cancelled from the same screen. If you simply ignore it, nothing changes.
That asymmetry is the single most useful thing to understand about these tools. It means a limit set calmly cannot be undone in the ten seconds after a near miss, which is the only moment it would ever have mattered.
How to take a break: the time-out
A time-out — the operator also labels it timeout in the account menu, and Swedish players will know it as spelpaus — is a short lock with a fixed length: 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days at X3000. During it the account refuses logins and deposits, the games are unavailable, and promotional email and push messages stop. It is the right tool when the last few sessions have felt compulsive rather than entertaining but closing the account outright would be an overreaction.
How to self-exclude: months, or permanently
Self-exclusion is the same idea with far more weight behind it. The available periods are 1, 3, 6 and 12 months, plus a permanent option that has no end date at all. How to self-exclude in practice: open the responsible gambling section, choose self-exclusion, select the period, read the confirmation text and confirm — the block starts the moment you do, not at the end of the day.
It cannot be lifted early. Live chat operators have no button for it, and a well-argued email will not produce one; that is the whole design. When a fixed period expires the account does not reopen by itself either — a deliberate reactivation step is required, and there is usually a further short waiting period after that.
Periods at a glance
| Break type | Available periods | Can it be cancelled early? |
|---|---|---|
| Deposit or loss limit (lower) | Daily, weekly, monthly | Raising it takes 24 hours |
| Time-out | 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days | No |
| Self-exclusion | 1, 3, 6 or 12 months | No — reactivation only after it expires |
| Permanent self-exclusion | No end date | No |
| Spelpaus.se | 1, 3, 6 months or until further notice | No, and it covers every licensed site |
What happens to the balance and to active bonuses
Withdrawable real money is not confiscated. A cash balance can normally be paid out before or during the break, using the method the deposit came from, subject to the usual minimum of 200 kr and to KYC being complete — worth finishing the verification first, because a locked account is an awkward place to start uploading documents. Payout speed does not change: Trustly stays in the 0–2 hour range, cards take 1–3 banking days.
Active bonuses are a different matter. Bonus money, free spins and unfinished wagering progress are forfeited when a self-exclusion or a time-out starts, and are not restored afterwards. Welcome bonus wagering at X3000 runs for 14 days, so an exclusion taken mid-cycle simply ends that cycle. Do not let an unfinished 35x rollover talk you out of a break — a forfeited bonus is the cheapest thing on this page.
Spelpaus.se — the Swedish national register
Everything above applies to one account at one operator. Spelpaus.se, run by the Swedish regulator, works at market level: one registration with BankID blocks every gambling site licensed in Sweden and stops gambling marketing reaching you, for one, three or six months or until further notice. It operates independently of whatever is configured inside an individual casino account and cannot be reversed early. If a single-operator block feels like it would only move the problem to the next site, that is the tool to use. Support for the decision itself is free and confidential on Stödlinjen, 0200-81 91 00. Readers outside Sweden should look up the national register in their own market — most regulated jurisdictions run one.
